Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology
One year of fellowship is available in Clinical Pediatric
Radiology. The 1-year program is accredited, without certification, by
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
The training program
is designed to introduce the fellow to all modalities by means of
closely supervised exposure to plain radiographs, digital fluoroscopy,
ultrasound and Doppler studies, nuclear medicine including SPECT,
computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging with basic spectroscopy,
as well as angiography and interventional studies. The fellow will be
familiarized with procedures, guidelines and equipment used in sedation
and monitoring of infants and children. At the end of the one-year
program, the fellow will have received full training in all aspects of
Clinical Pediatric Radiology.
Protected time, up
to one month, is devoted to research (usually clinical research) in the
first year.
