The on-line application system for the 2016-2017 academic year (201509 - i.e. Fall 2015) will open up as of May 15, 2015.  Candidates who choose to apply before that date compromise their application.  Please only apply after May 15, 2015.   Applicants select 201609 (i.e. Fall 2015) for the academic year starting July 1, 2016.

Residency Non-Ministry Funded Positions:

Pediatric Subspecialty Residency programs: March 1, 2015

Internal Medicine Residency Program: August 1, 2015

  PGY-1 Residency programs: August 15, 2015

Medical Subspecialty Residency programs and Fellowship programs: September 01, 2015

All programs start July 1st each year.

What is the minimum requirement to apply to the Faculty of Medicine, Postgraduate Medical Education at McGill?

All applicants must possess a MD or MD Equivalent in order to be considered.  For a complete list of eligibility requirements please refer to your applicant profile.   Also, please be sure to refer to the contents of the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page to obtain other useful information about applying to McGill.  If you have an appropriate degree, please proceed.

Can I submit a paper application?

No.  All applications to the Faculty of Medicine must be completed online

Files for applicants applying under an approved Exchange Program with their home Government have their files channeled to the office of the Associate Dean by the Government, Embassy or Agency concerned. We are unable to consider files sent directly by the trainees or by other physicians on their behalf or files submitted directly to the program.
